My name is Dr. Susan Conley, owner and doctor at Alta Chiropractic.  I had an interest in health from an early age, and was always fascinated by the human body, mind and spirit.  I attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges (B.A., 1989) initially as a pre-medical student, and then a junior year abroad program in Sri Lanka broadened my view of health. Seeking chiropractic treatment myself in 1990, I quickly realized that this is what resonated with my views of health and well being, and it prompted me to pursue this wonderful profession.

After graduating from New York Chiropractic College in 1995, I began private practice in Ithaca, NY (Cascadilla Chiropractic) where I had lived since 1989. While in private practice, I also held an adjunct faculty position from 1996 to 2001, at my alma mater, NYCC, where I taught mainly in the Chiropractic Technique laboratories. In private practice since 1995, I find it very rewarding to help others restore their health and optimal functioning and expand their views of health and wellness.  I greatly enjoys the teaching part of her work, as the Latin root of the word doctor comes from docere, meaning to teach – and it is this educational aspect to care that those receiving care seem to find wonderful because they want to understand and participate.

As a Chiropractor in Lexington MA , my desire is to educate residents of the community on the health and wellness benefits of chiropractic care, enriching as many lives as possible through a regaining of health by those who may have temporarily lost it. I give back to the community as a volunteer doctor at the Boston Benevolent Chiropractic Clinic, which offers no fee/low fee chiropractic care for those in need who cannot afford care. Each life that I am able to touch with my hands and chiropractic care is a great reward, and in turn enriches myown life.

In 2009, I was voted #1 Chiropractor in my community by the people of Lexington and I feel such deep appreciation for having been recognized in this way.  Thank you!
